1、学业成绩

美国是没有高考的，取而代之的是SAT和ACT考试。和中国高考相比，这两种考试都容易得多。去接受数学、语言、写作和科学（只出现在ACT考试中）基础的知识和概念的测试即可。

2、课外活动

美国高中学生对课外活动的“沉迷”到了影响学业的程度。当然，那些以学业成绩、SAT得分为代价去搞课外活动的学生，也不会受到哈佛重视。哈佛非常能力。
